COMEWITHME
Two dementia-friendly communities. One uplifting song. One joyful 10–15 minute festival moment built around music, memory and human connection.

Two towns already connected by a story.
Barry and Billericay were connected on screen. Then their dementia-friendly communities made that connection real.
Inspired by the familiar link between the two towns in Gavin & Stacey, people in Barry and Billericay began collaborating, sharing ideas and supporting people living with dementia.
In 2026, singers young and old(er) came together to record Come With Me, a song created to raise awareness, challenge stigma and show what community-led creativity can make possible.
Give us a few minutes to make a lot of people feel something.
We are asking for a 10–15 minute, unpaid performance at Glastonbury 2027, where festivalgoers can listen, join in and feel connected.
Not a lecture about dementia.
A conversation for all. Through music, connection and the stories we share.
Music
A shared song gives everyone an easy way into the story, before a single word of explanation.
Connection
Two communities, different generations and people affected by dementia, brought together through something joyful.
Ripple effect
One performance could start conversations and encourage more dementia-friendly communities.
“Come With Me is more than a performance; it is an invitation to walk alongside people affected by dementia, so that no one feels they have to face the journey alone.”

GlastonBarry...
We’ve already taken Come With Me to a festival. Now imagine the next one.
GlastonBarry is an annual tribute festival presented by local events company Mack Events, bringing tribute acts, local artists and performers of different ages together.
In 2026, Dementia Friendly Barry Community was invited to perform Come With Me. The memory that stayed with them? The smiling faces, anticipation and excitement of coming together to share their message.
With local press involved and Barry’s Town Mayor opening the festival, it was an opportunity to bring the song into a lively public setting.
